Expert Power BI / Data Engineer (H/F)

The mission

In French-speaking Switzerland, you cover the entire value chain: you build data pipelines and give meaning to indicators. Your role is played in three stages.

1. Design and structure

• You design and industrialize the transformation flows (ETL/ELT) to feed the decision-making platforms.

• You design robust analytical models (star, snowflake, Data Vault) capable of absorbing large volumes.

• You guarantee the quality, traceability and sovereignty of the data to make it usable and AI-ready .

2. Visualize and impact

• You design expert Power BI dashboards (advanced DAX, tabular modeling, VertiPaq) to inform strategic decisions.

• You are setting up strict Power BI governance (RLS security, workspaces, certified datasets).

• You engage in dialogue with the business units to translate complex needs into clear and actionable indicators.

3. Advise and help progress

• You will be working in an advisory capacity with our clients, operating with complete autonomy.

• You equip and document your architectural choices (Confluence, Jira) in agile mode.

• You share your best practices and actively contribute to the development of collective skills on Data topics.

The technical ecosystem

• Modeling & Flows: SQL (Expert), dbt, enterprise ETL/ELT, analytical modeling.

• Restitution & BI : Power BI (DAX, Power Query/M, Import / DirectQuery / Composite), VertiPaq.

• Cloud & Data Platforms : Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse.

• Industrialisation & Dev : Python, Git, CI/CD, Airflow.

• Tools: Jira, Confluence.

Your profile

You have at least 5 years of experience in production-based decision-making environments. We bet you also meet these criteria:

• Flawless mastery of SQL and the Power BI ecosystem .

• A constant focus on quality, traceability and data security.

• The ability to translate a vague business need into a high-performing data model.

• A strong advisory stance and excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with decision-makers.

• Active monitoring of Cloud technologies, sovereign governance and AI.

• Perfect French and professional English appreciated.
